Heritage Community Initiatives relies on the efforts of scores of dedicated employees, complemented by volunteers and interns, to accomplish our mission.
We ensure that our staff has the best possible combination of education and experience for their professional responsibilities—as well as dedication to our mission and respect for the people and communities we serve.
Our commitment to our communities includes a longstanding policy of hiring locally: more than half our staff members are Mon and Turtle Creek Valley residents. This policy, along with buying from local businesses whenever possible, has kept us in touch with our communities and made us a significant economic development force. Hiring from within our communities also helps in achieving an important organizational goal: maintaining a diverse workforce.
Career development is emphasized at Heritage through education and training opportunities, and a policy of internal promotion. We are proud of the many employees who have “risen through the ranks,” increasing both their responsibilities and their salaries. We benefit greatly from their energy, their dedication, and their skills.
