Staff

Kids Playing

At Heritage 4 Kids early learning center, each classroom is staffed by a teacher (a college graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in early education or elementary education, or in a related field with a child development associate [CDA]), an assistant teacher (who has either an Associates degree in early childhood or a CDA), and an aide (who has a high school diploma and extensive experience with young children).

All 4 Kids caregivers receive training in areas including child development and special skills like CPR.

Heritage 4 Kids staff have access to an extensive on-site resource center. They are able to create more interactive, enjoyable and educational lessons for students in their classrooms.

Staff development is an ongoing process. Formal on-site seminars and informal in-service learning help staff members stay knowledgeable about, for example, new research in child development, and important children’s health issues.

Zadie

Zadie was involved in an horrific automobile accidents when she was only three-years-old.  After the accident, Zadie had a long recovery process and endured frightening nightmares that impacted her ability to participate fully at school.

At Heritage 4 Kids Early Learning Center, Zadie had a safe environment in which to talk about her nightmares.  Her teachers listened and found the best way to help her through this life changing situation.  Through play therapy conducted in her classroom, Zadie was able to overcome her nightmares and enjoy being a kid again!
