Community Development

To bring life back to distressed communities, Heritage creates and supports a wide range of programs that focus on high-priority issues.

MOVE IT (Mon Valley Environmental Innovative Training)
An intensive education program that prepares under- and unemployed people to work in environmental industries.

T.E.A.M. Braddock Youth Rugby League
With Pittsburgh Harlequins Rugby Football Club, Heritage created a sports-based program that provides youth recreation and mentoring.

Braddock Employment and Training Center
Heritage manages this multi-program facility that provides job-training and job-finding services.

Community 2.0
Promotes the use of new media for training, business development, public affairs, and artistic production.

Heritage also leads in promoting community image and beautification and historic preservation efforts.

In addition to creating and operating programs, Heritage provides leadership to organizations that promote progress by facilitating community dialog and collaboration.

One such organization is the Tri Boro Development Forum, a coalition of residents and businesses that together address a wide range of community issues.

Another is the Enterprise Zone of Braddock, which encourages local business creation and growth.
